  1. This is everything you need to start the install process for Linux on the PowerPC.

  3. For most Powermac's copy the installer.coff file to a mac formatted floppy. Open Boot Variables and set it to:

  5. fd:installer.coff
  6.  
  7. and hit write&reboot. This should take you into the installer. Give it a minute to load the file from floppy.

  9. If you have a G3, you need to use the g3installer.coff
  10. If you have a ATI video card, you might need to use the ATIinstaller.coff
  11.
